Data Set Description: This is a subset of the Deep Sea Coral Research and Technology Program’s National Database. The data represent selected observations of deep-sea corals collected by ROV during an August/September 2012 research cruise aboard the R/V Falkor in the Gulf of Mexico. Four ROV dives were conducted between 500-2000 m depth over ten days. Several hundred corals were photo-documented. Changes to the original dataset may have been made to conform to the National Database Schema and for quality control purposes.
