Data Set Description: This biological occurence dataset was provided by Turner et al. (2024) to NOAA’s Deep-sea Coral Research and Technology Program. Observations were from the vessel(s), NA; Falkor R/V, using the platform(s): NA; SuBastian ROV. Observation dates range from 1952-04-03 to 2021-08-10. Marine Ecoregions of the World (MEOW) explored include: Northern California; Southern California Bight. Localities explored include: California, Fire Rock, Pescadero Point; California, San Pedro Basin, whale fall; California, San Pedro Basin, DDT barrel dump site; California, Near Anacapa Island; California, Ofshore San Diego. Changes to the originally submitted dataset may have been made to conform to the standards of NOAA’s National Database for Deep-sea Corals and Sponges. Please reach out to: Turner, Thomas L.
