Data Set Description: This is a subset of the Deep Sea Coral Research and Technology Program’s National Database. The data represent selected samples of deep-sea corals collected by submersible during a September 2009 United States Geological Survey (USGS) research cruise aboard the R/V Seward Johnson in the Gulf of Mexico. This was part of the USGS contribution to the Lophelia II Project. Changes to the original dataset may have been made to conform to the National Database Schema and for quality control purposes.
