Data Set Description: This is a subset of the Deep Sea Coral Research and Technology Program’s National Database. The data represent counts of azooxanthellate corals observed by ROV at sites in the mesophotic Mississippi/Alabama Pinnacle Trend region. Surveys occurred during a 1999 cruise (M4) supported by the United States Geological Survey and Minerals Management Service (now BOEM). Changes to the original dataset may have been made to conform to the National Database Schema and for quality control purposes.
