Episode Narrative A cold front slowly moved across the area while an upper level disturbance passed to the north. Thunderstorms occurred across the region during both the 8th and 9th with a couple storms becoming severe.
Event Narrative The tornado started along Highway 103 southwest of Grand Prairie and moved to the northeast to Highway 748 where it ripped a roof from a well constructed home and snapped several large hardwood trees where the highest wind speeds were estimated. The tornado continued northeast causing damage to trees and outbuildings and minor home damage. Maximum estimated wind speeds were 115 mph.
