A late season upper level Low moved into the Desert Southwest and remained stationary over the area from May 5th to May 6th. This was followed by a secondary upper level low that moved in on May 7th. Both lows produced numerous showers, thunderstorms and even high elevation snow showers above 7000 feet. |
Event Narrative |
Public reported, via Facebook, photos and a video of a landspout tornado in Prescott Valley. The video showed the tornado passing over Pronghorn Ranch Middle School, displacing some roof shingles and lofting a garbage can 50-100 feet into the air. Tornado was rated an EF-0 based on the video footage. |
