Episode Narrative Scattered thunderstorms and storm clusters developed across upstate South Carolina during the evening. One storm produced a brief tornado in Abbeville County. Storms and clusters tended to move slowly, resulting in locally heavy rainfall, with isolated flash flooding developing where multiple storms moved over the same areas.
Event Narrative NWS storm survey reported a brief and weak tornado touched down along Old Calhoun Falls Rd near Mud Creek Rd. The tornado moved northeast, paralleling Old Calhoun Falls Rd before dissipating near the intersection with Latimer Rd. The tornado snapped multiple large limbs and uprooted a couple of trees.
