In accordance with Service Change Notice 14-25 from the National Weather Service, NCEI has stopped providing data from the 72 Southwest Regional Climate Reference Network stations since June 1, 2014. U.S. Regional Climate Reference Network
The U.S. Regional Climate Reference Network (USRCRN) pilot project was deployed in the Southwestern U.S. by NOAA during the period of 2009-2011. These stations were designed to provide the same quality of measurements as the national-scale USCRN, but were spaced more closely, and focused solely on temperature and precipitation.
