The dataset contains time series of ocean currents data obtained by moored current meters at the same spatial location with monotonically increasing times. The date coverage of the dataset is from 1962 to 2005. Data are stored in the GOCD NetCDF format for time series feature type.

The dataset contains ocean currents obtained by shipboard acoustic Doppler current profilers located at points ordered along a ship cruise with monotonically increasing times. The date coverage of the data set is from 1979 to 2013. Data are stored in the GOCD NetCDF format for vertical profile, i.e., data points along a vertical line at a fixed horizontal position and fixed time, or along a trajectory, i.e., a series of profile features located at points ordered along a cruise track.
