| Abstract: | This dataset includes chemical, navigational and other data collected aboard the RV Atlantic Explorer during cruise AE1027 in the North Atlantic Ocean from 2010-09-11 to 2010-09-25. These data include Attenuation/Transmission, CONDUCTIVITY, DEPTH - BOTTOM, DEPTH - OBSERVATION, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, SALINITY, WATER TEMPERATURE, course over ground and speed over ground. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD, GPS, echo sounder, oxygen meter and transmissometer. These data were collected by Ruth Curry of Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, and by Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences as part of Dynamics of Abyssal Mixing and Interior Transports Experiment (DynAMITE). The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) submitted these data to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program. A suite of navigation products produced by the Rolling Deck to Repository program is included in this accession, which include one high resolution, one 1 minute resolution, and one low resolution coordinate file. R2R provides a processed version of the CTD data. |
