Title: Chemical, navigational and other data collected aboard the PELICAN during cruise PE09-33 in the Gulf of Mexico on 2009-04-16 (NCEI Accession 0180038)
Abstract: This dataset includes chemical, navigational and other data collected aboard the PELICAN during cruise PE09-33 in the Gulf of Mexico on 2009-04-16. These data include Attenuation/Transmission, CONDUCTIVITY, DEPTH - BOTTOM, DEPTH - OBSERVATION, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, SALINITY, WATER TEMPERATURE, course over ground, irradiance, speed over ground and surface irradiance. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD, GPS, PAR Sensor, echo sounder, oxygen meter and transmissometer. These data were collected by Nancy Rabalais of Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium as part of Hypoxia in the Northern Gulf Of Mexico (NGOMEX). The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) submitted these data to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program.

A suite of navigation products produced by the Rolling Deck to Repository program is included in this accession, which include one high resolution, one 1 minute resolution, and one low resolution coordinate file. R2R provides a processed version of the CTD data.
