Title: The development and evaluation of small specialized turtle excluder devices to reduce sea turtle bycatch in small wingnets (NCEI Accession 0226663)
Abstract: This dataset contains records of Atlantic (GOM) white shrimp (Litopenaeus setiferus), and brown shrimp (Farfantepenaeus aztecus), and bycatch (other invertebrates, crustaceans, fishes, debris) which can be used to test for general usability of TEDs in the commercial small wingnet fishery. The data set contains records of targeted white shrimp and brown shrimp and bycatch (counts and CPUE) collected during tests of TEDs in small wingnets conducted in the the Atlantic Coast, in Biscayne Bay near Miami, FL. Data also include testing information such as depth, boat speed, and georeferencing information.
