| Abstract: | This dataset includes navigational, physical, and profile data collected aboard the RV Nathaniel B. Palmer during cruise NBP0901 in the South Pacific Ocean and Southern Ocean from 2009-01-05 to 2009-02-26. These data include CONDUCTIVITY, LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, SALINITY, and WATER TEMPERATURE. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD, GPS, and bathythermograph - XBT. These data were collected by Stanley Jacobs of Columbia University; Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, and by Raytheon Polar Services Company as part of Amundsen Sea Influence on West Antarctic Ice Sheet Stability and Sea Level Rise/Sampling the Ocean-Sea Ice Interaction in the Pacific Center of the Antarctic Dipole/Shedding Dynamic Light on Iron Limitation. The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) submitted these data to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program. |
