| Abstract: | This dataset includes current measurements, physical, and other data collected aboard the LAURENCE M. GOULD during cruise LMG1410 in the South Atlantic Ocean and Southern Ocean from 2014-10-27 to 2014-11-22. These data include CONDUCTIVITY, CURRENT SPEED - EAST/WEST COMPONENT (U), CURRENT SPEED - NORTH/SOUTH COMPONENT (V), SALINITY, and WATER TEMPERATURE. The instruments used to collect these data include ADCP, CTD, GPS, and bathythermograph - XBT. These data were collected by Josh Kohut of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, and by Raytheon Polar Services Company as part of Impact of local physical processes on Adelie peguin foraging ecology in the vicinity of Palmer Deep canyon off Anvers Island. The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) submitted these data to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program. The ADCP data represent the raw dataset. Post processed quality assessed data are not available in this accession. |
