| Abstract: | This dataset includes current measurements, physical, and other data collected aboard the LAURENCE M. GOULD during cruise LMG0413A in the South Atlantic Ocean and Southern Ocean from 2004-11-06 to 2004-11-18. These data include CURRENT SPEED - EAST/WEST COMPONENT (U), CURRENT SPEED - NORTH/SOUTH COMPONENT (V), and WATER TEMPERATURE. The instruments used to collect these data include ADCP, GPS, and bathythermograph - XBT. These data were collected by Ronald Naveen of Oceanites, Inc., and by Raytheon Polar Services Company as part of Long-Term Data Collection at Select Antarctic Peninsula Visitor Sites/Cape Shirreff Field Camp Opening. The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) submitted these data to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program. The ADCP data represent the raw dataset. Post processed quality assessed data are not available in this accession. |
