Title: Underway physical and meteorological data collected by NOAA Ship KA'IMIMOANA in the Pacific from 2004-09-01 to 2004-10-05 (NCEI Accession 0001003)
Abstract: This dataset contains real-time underway physical and meteorological data logged by the Scientific Computer System (SCS) aboard NOAA Ship Ka'imimoana in the North Pacific Ocean, Southeast Pacific Ocean (limit-140 W), Northeast Pacific Ocean (limit-180), Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary, and South Pacific Ocean from 2004-09-01 to 2004-10-05. Office of Marine and Aviation Operations (OMAO) personnel aboard the ship submitted these data and associated metadata to the National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC). As part of the NOAA Shipboard Sensor Data Acquisition (NSSDAC) project, OMAO submits a standard suite of underway oceanographic and meteorological data collected during each cruise of a NOAA ship with SCS.

NODC found that this dataset originally contained the same data as NCEI accession 0000999 (Chlorophyll data collected by the research vessels Nathaniel B. Palmer and Laurence M. Gould in support of the Southern Ocean studies of the GLOBEC project, May - September 2002; submitted by Maria Vernet), therefore, sometime before November 4, 2004, NODC removed the original contents of NCEI accession 0001003.
