The Ocean Archive System searches our original datasets as they were submitted to us, not individual points or profiles. If you want to search and retrieve ocean profiles in a common format, or objectively analyzed fields, your better option may be to use one of our project applications. See: Access Data

| Title: | Biological, chemical and other data collected aboard the THOMAS G. THOMPSON during cruise TN254 in the Coastal Waters of Southeast Alaska and British Columbia, Columbia River estuary - Washington/Oregon and North Pacific Ocean from 2010-09-09 to 2010-10-11 (NCEI Accession 0104359) |
| Abstract: | NCEI Accession 0104359 includes biological, chemical and other data collected aboard the THOMAS G. THOMPSON during cruise TN254 in the Coastal Waters of Southeast Alaska and British Columbia, Columbia River estuary - Washington/Oregon and North Pacific Ocean from 2010-09-09 to 2010-10-11. These data include Attenuation/Transmission, CONDUCTIVITY, CURRENT SPEED - EAST/WEST COMPONENT (U), CURRENT SPEED - NORTH/SOUTH COMPONENT (V), DEPTH - BOTTOM, DEPTH - OBSERVATION, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, FLUORESCENCE, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, SALINITY, WATER TEMPERATURE, course over ground and speed over ground. The instruments used to collect these data include ADCP, CTD, GPS, echo sounder, fluorometer, oxygen meter and transmissometer. These data were collected by Mairi Best of University of Victoria, and by University of Washington as part of NEPTUNE Canada-ROPOS Diving/Cabled Observatory Vent Imaging Sonar (COVIS). The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) submitted these data to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program. A suite of navigation products produced by the Rolling Deck to Repository program is included in this accession, which include one high resolution, one 1 minute resolution, and one low resolution coordinate file. The CTD data submitted by the originator represent the raw data suite. [Processed versions of the data were generated by NCEI.] The ADCP data represent the raw data set. Post processed quality assessed data are not available in this accession. |

| Supplementary information: | NCEI Accession 0086548 contains documentation about data sets submitted to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository program. Links directly to the documentation for each instrument package can be found in the Distribution Format section of the metadata record at http://accession.nodc.noaa.gov/0104359. In this accession, NCEI has archived multiple versions of these data. The latest (and best) version of these data has the largest version number. |
