The Ocean Archive System searches our original datasets as they were submitted to us, not individual points or profiles. If you want to search and retrieve ocean profiles in a common format, or objectively analyzed fields, your better option may be to use one of our project applications. See: Access Data

Title: Chemical, current measurements, and other data collected aboard the R/V F.G. Walton Smith during cruise WS1010 in the Coastal Waters of Gulf of America, Gulf of America and others from 2010-05-21 to 2010-06-11 (NCEI Accession 0104382)
Abstract: This dataset includes chemical, current measurements, and other data collected aboard the R/V F.G. Walton Smith during cruise WS1010 in the Coastal Waters of Gulf of America, Gulf of America and others from 2010-05-21 to 2010-06-11. These data include Attenuation/Transmission, CONDUCTIVITY, CURRENT SPEED - EAST/WEST COMPONENT (U), CURRENT SPEED - NORTH/SOUTH COMPONENT (V), DEPTH - BOTTOM, DEPTH - OBSERVATION, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, SALINITY, WATER TEMPERATURE, course over ground, irradiance, speed over ground, and surface irradiance. The instruments used to collect these data include ADCP, CTD, GPS, PAR Sensor, echo sounder, oxygen sensor, and transmissometer. These data were collected by Samantha Joye of University of Georgia; School of Marine Programs, and by University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science as part of RAPID Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill: Deep Pelagic and Benthic Impacts. The Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program submitted these data to NCEI.

The ADCP data represent the raw dataset. Post processed quality assessed data are not available in this accession. R2R provides a processed version of the CTD data. A suite of navigation products produced by the Rolling Deck to Repository program is included in this accession, which include one high resolution, one 1 minute resolution, and one low resolution coordinate file.

Supplementary information: NCEI Accession 0086548 contains documentation about datasets submitted to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository program.

One or more of the data packages in this dataset contains an incorrect data license. The R2R team has requested that all such packages must be documented with a Creative Commons CC0 1.0 Universal (CC0 1.0) Public Domain Dedication. The documentation has been updated accordingly. However, none of the original data files have been changed.

In this accession, NCEI has archived multiple versions of these data. The latest (and best) version of these data has the largest version number.
