The Ocean Archive System searches our original datasets as they were submitted to us, not individual points or profiles. If you want to search and retrieve ocean profiles in a common format, or objectively analyzed fields, your better option may be to use one of our project applications. See: Access Data

Title: Oceanographic profiles (17,000+ profiles) salinity, temperature, OXY, pH, Alk, SiO4, PO4, NO2, NO3, NH4, and OXY Satur measurements using bottle/rosette/net taken from various Russian vessels in the Caspian Sea from 22 May, 1897 to 17 Dec 17, 1989.
Abstract: Cruises took place from 22 May 1897 to 17 December 1898 in the Caspian Sea. Various vessels were used to collect data in the open sea. Data also carried out in the coastal zone from small boats. Since mid of 1930's cruises were part of the long-term Ecological and Meteorological Monitoring programs funded by the Federal Government of Soviet Union. Oceanographic data were used to predict state of the weather in the Caspian region and the state of the biological resources of the Caspian Sea by hydrometeorological service of the Soviet Union and Caspian Research Institute of Fisheries and Oceanography.
