| Abstract: | This dataset includes navigational, physical and other data collected aboard the SALLY RIDE during cruise SR1716 in the North Pacific Ocean from 2017-10-27 to 2017-11-04. These data include CURRENT SPEED - EAST/WEST COMPONENT (U), CURRENT SPEED - NORTH/SOUTH COMPONENT (V), LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, WATER TEMPERATURE, course over ground and speed over ground. The instruments used to collect these data include ADCP, GPS and bathythermograph - XBT. These data were collected by John Colosi of Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, and by University of California - San Diego; Scripps Institution of Oceanography as part of Point Sal Inner Shelf Experiment 2017 (PSIEX17). The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) submitted these data to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program. The XBT data submitted by the originator represent the raw data suite. A suite of navigation products produced by the Rolling Deck to Repository program is included in this accession, which include one high resolution, one 1 minute resolution, and one low resolution coordinate file. The ADCP data represent the raw data set. Post processed quality assessed data are not available in this accession. |
