The Ocean Archive System searches our original datasets as they were submitted to us, not individual points or profiles. If you want to search and retrieve ocean profiles in a common format, or objectively analyzed fields, your better option may be to use one of our project applications. See: Access Data

Title: Biological, chemical, in situ, navigational, optical, physical, profile, surface measurements, and surface underway data collected aboard the R/V Pelican during cruise PE17-19 in the Coastal Waters of Gulf of America and Gulf of America from 2017-04-22 to 2017-05-01 (NCEI Accession 0173378)
Abstract: This dataset includes biological, chemical, in situ, navigational, optical, physical, profile, surface measurements, and surface underway data collected aboard the R/V Pelican during cruise PE17-19 in the Coastal Waters of Gulf of America and Gulf of America from 2017-04-22 to 2017-05-01. These data include CONDUCTIVITY, DEPTH - BOTTOM, DEPTH - OBSERVATION, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, PHOTOSYNTHETIC ACTIVE RADIATION (PAR), SALINITY, SALINITY - SURFACE WATER, SEA SURFACE TEMPERATURE, SOUND VELOCITY, WATER TEMPERATURE, course over ground, speed over ground, and surface irradiance. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD, GPS, PAR Sensor, echo sounder, oxygen sensor, and thermosalinograph. These data were collected by Paula Pérez-Brunius of Ensenada Center for Scientific Investigation and Higher Education, and by Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium. The Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program submitted these data to NCEI.

A suite of navigation products produced by R2R is included in this dataset, comprised of one high resolution, one 1 minute resolution, and one low resolution coordinate file. R2R provides a processed version of the CTD data.

Supplementary information: NCEI Accession 0086548 contains documentation about datasets submitted to NCEI as part of the R2R program.

One or more of the data packages in this dataset contains an incorrect data license. The R2R program has requested that all such packages must be documented with a Creative Commons CC0 1.0 Universal (CC0 1.0) Public Domain Dedication. The documentation has been updated accordingly. However, none of the original data files have been changed.

In this accession, NCEI has archived multiple versions of these data. The latest (and best) version of these data has the largest version number.
