| Abstract: | This dataset includes biological, chemical, and other data collected aboard the CAPE HATTERAS during cruise CH0611 in the North Atlantic Ocean from 2011-06-25 to 2011-06-26. These data include Attenuation/Transmission, CONDUCTIVITY, DEPTH - BOTTOM, DEPTH - OBSERVATION, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, FLUORESCENCE, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, SALINITY, WATER TEMPERATURE, course over ground, and speed over ground. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD, GPS, echo sounder, fluorometer, oxygen sensor, and transmissometer. These data were collected by Michael Montgomery of US Navy; Naval Research Laboratory - Washington DC, and by Duke University/University of North Carolina Oceanographic Consortium as part of Frontal Boundaries between Water Masses and in Underlying Sediments. The Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program submitted these data to NCEI. R2R provides a processed version of the CTD data. A suite of navigation products produced by the Rolling Deck to Repository program is included in this accession, which include one high resolution, one 1 minute resolution, and one low resolution coordinate file. |
