| Abstract: | This dataset includes biological, chemical and other data collected aboard the CAPE HATTERAS during cruise CH0912 in the North Atlantic Ocean from 2012-11-01 to 2012-11-03. These data include Attenuation/Transmission, CONDUCTIVITY, DEPTH - BOTTOM, DEPTH - OBSERVATION, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, FLUORESCENCE, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, SALINITY, WATER TEMPERATURE, course over ground and speed over ground. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD, GPS, echo sounder, fluorometer, oxygen meter and transmissometer. These data were collected by David Eggleston of North Carolina State University, and by Duke University/University of North Carolina Oceanographic Consortium as part of Connectivity in Western Atlantic Seep Populations (SeepC). The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) submitted these data to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program. A suite of navigation products produced by the Rolling Deck to Repository program is included in this accession, which include one high resolution, one 1 minute resolution, and one low resolution coordinate file. R2R provides a processed version of the CTD data. |
