Title: ATOMIC CU-RAAVEN UAS: Lower-atmospheric meteorological and surface properties from the CU-RAAVEN unmanned aircraft system (UAS) over the Tropical Atlantic Ocean, near Barbados: Atlantic Tradewind Ocean-Atmosphere Mesoscale Interaction Campaign 2020-01-24 to 2020-02-16 (NCEI Accession 0225373)
Abstract: The Atlantic Tradewind Ocean-Atmosphere Mesoscale Interaction Campaign (ATOMIC) was a field campaign held January-February 2020 in the tropical North Atlantic east of Barbados. The campaign, the U.S. complement to the European field campaign called EUREC4A, was aimed at better understanding cloud and air-sea interaction processes. ATOMIC included measurements from a NOAA WP-3D Orion "Hurricane Hunter" aircraft, the NOAA Ship Ronald H. Brown, as well as uncrewed vehicles and platforms launched from Barbados and two ships. This dataset contains uncrewed aircraft meteorological and ocean surface data in netCDF files.
