ATOMIC field campaign disdrometer 2020-01-08 to 2020-02-12 (NCEI Accession 0225426) |
Abstract: |
The Atlantic Tradewind OceanAtmosphere Mesoscale Interaction Campaign (ATOMIC) was a field campaign held January-February 2020 in the tropical North Atlantic east of Barbados. The campaign, the U.S. complement to the European field campaign called EUREC4A, was aimed at better understanding cloud and air-sea interaction processes. ATOMIC included measurements from a NOAA WP-3D Orion "Hurricane Hunter" aircraft, the research ship Ronald H. Brown, and unpiloted vehicles launched from Barbados and from the Ronald H. Brown. |
