| Abstract: | This dataset contains biological, chemical, optical, physical, and survey - biological data collected on R/V Hugh R. Sharp during cruises HRS100524JP, HRS100819JP, HRS100920JP, HRS110525JP, HRS110719JP, and HRS110922JP in the North Atlantic Ocean from 2010-05-24 to 2011-12-21. These data include Dissolved_Oxygen, PAR, abundance, depth, fluorescence, genus, salinity calculated from CTD primary sensors, species, stage, and turbidity. The instruments used to collect these data include MOCNESS.25 and Tucker Trawl. These data were collected by Dr James J. Pierson of University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science as part of the "Hypoxia in Marine Ecosystems: Implications for Neritic Copepods (DeZoZoo)" project. The Biological and Chemical Oceanography Data Management Office (BCO-DMO) submitted these data to NCEI on 2017-04-20. The following is the text of the dataset description provided by BCO-DMO: Zooplankton - esp. copepods - from hypoxic waters of the Chesapeake Bay Dataset Description: These data represent a merging of electronic data collected from the MOCNESS sensor systems and the count data from the samples collected with the net tows. Some nets were used for zooplankton samples, while others were collected specifically to estimate bay anchovy concentrations. (See associated dataset: http://www.bco-dmo.org/dataset/563428 .) These are contained on different sheets, and the count data was merged individually. |
