| Abstract: |
This study estimated the concentration of microplastics (i.e. plastics measuring less than 5mm) in the Galway Bay, a coastal embayment in Northeast Atlantic Ocean during 2019-02-02 to 2019-02-05. Microplastics in surface water were collected with a manta net trawl, benthic sediment with a box corer, and biota with beam trawl aboard R/V Celtic Voyager. Characteristics of biota samples including length, weight and feeding strategy are provided. This dataset contains the results from all 11 water, 7 sediment and 9 microplastic samples, in a spreadsheet format. |
