The Ocean Archive System searches our original datasets as they were submitted to us, not individual points or profiles. If you want to search and retrieve ocean profiles in a common format, or objectively analyzed fields, your better option may be to use one of our project applications. See: Access Data

Title: Low resolution real-time physical trajectory profile data from glider sbu02 deployed by Rutgers University and Stony Brook University (SBU) in the Mid-Atlantic Bight from 2024-08-12 to 2024-08-14 (NCEI Accession 0298916)
Abstract: This dataset includes low resolution real-time physical trajectory profile data from glider sbu02 deployed by Rutgers University and Stony Brook University (SBU) in the Mid-Atlantic Bight from 2024-08-12 to 2024-08-14 for the MAB Indicators and NSF Collaborative Research: Optimizing Ocean Acidification Observations for Model Parameterization in the Coupled Slope Water System of the U.S. Northeast Large Marine Ecosystem project.

The National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) received the data in this dataset from the Integrated Ocean Observing System (IOOS) National Glider Data Assembly Center (NGDAC). The IOOS NGDAC received the data in one or more netCDF files comprising an entire glider deployment. The data are measurements of physical oceanographic properties such as temperature, salinity, conductivity, and density. The IOOS NGDAC checked the files for compliance to their netCDF file convention, aggregated the files into a single netCDF file, and then submitted the file to NCEI for long-term preservation. Data files may be either low resolution real-time or full resolution. Full resolution files are designated as "delayed" in the netCDF file name.

The data producer provided this summary: This project is conducting seasonal deployments to monitor physical conditions and investigate carbonate chemistry and ocean acidification in the Mid-Atlantic Bight. The glider is equipped with CTD/pH sensor, ECO-Puck, dissolved oxygen sensor, and a DMON passive acoustics receiver. Marine mammal detections are shared in real-time at https://robots4whales.whoi.edu/.
