The Ocean Archive System searches our original datasets as they were submitted to us, not individual points or profiles. If you want to search and retrieve ocean profiles in a common format, or objectively analyzed fields, your better option may be to use one of our project applications. See: Access Data

Title: Data compilations for primary production, herbivory, decomposition, and export for different types of marine communities, 1962-2002 (NODC Accession 0054500)
Abstract: These data are spreadsheet data which correspond to the analyses of three studies (Variability and Control of Carbon Consumption, Export, and Accumulation in Marine Communities, The Influence of Primary Producers on Estuarine Cycling, and Patterns of Herbivory and Decomposition in Aquatic and Terrestrial ecosystems) which were conducted by the Ecosystems Lab, Dauphin Island, Alabama.

Statistical data for these studies are in .xsl format; original data was from sources in America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Parameters include: community type, net primary production, detrital production, total consumption by first-order consumers, carbon accumulation, nitrogen concentration, and phosphorus concentration.
