The Ocean Archive System searches our original datasets as they were submitted to us, not individual points or profiles. If you want to search and retrieve ocean profiles in a common format, or objectively analyzed fields, your better option may be to use one of our project applications. See: Access Data

Title: Data Report of Oceanographic Observations Special Issue (No.S2), 1964 - 2008 (NCEI Accession 0057639)
Abstract: This dataset is the Data Report of Oceanographic Observations Special Issue (No.S2). This CD-ROM is an update of the special issue (No.S1) published in 2001. A major update means the addition of new data by the research vessels by the end of 2008.

This dataset includes water temperature, salinity, and nutrients measurements collected in the North Pacific Ocean from research vessels from 1964 to 2008, and from ocean data buoys from 1978 to 2000.

The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) has carried out oceanographic observations for monitoring ocean variability which ranges from seasons to decades.
