The Ocean Archive System searches our original datasets as they were submitted to us, not individual points or profiles. If you want to search and retrieve ocean profiles in a common format, or objectively analyzed fields, your better option may be to use one of our project applications. See: Access Data

Title: Long term monitoring of currents, conductivity, temperature, salinity, sigma-theta, pressure, waves, chlorophyll A, oxygen, and meteorology in Massachusetts Bay; from instruments deployed from the platforms WHITE HEATH, ASTERIAS, CHRISTOPHER ANDREW, MARCUS HANNA, ABBIE BURGESS, LOONEY, and ARGO MAINE; between January 1st, 1986 and February 8th, 2006 (NODC Accession 0060062)
Abstract: Measurements of currents and other oceanographic properties were made at two locations to understand the transport and long-term fate of sediments and associated contaminants in Massachusetts Bay, one to the south of the new ocean outfall (LT-A), and at a second location about 22 km to the southeast of the ocean outfall offshore of Scituate, Mass (LT-B). This set of field observations is part of a larger project to develop a predictive capability and understanding of the fate, transport, and environmental effects of sewage wastes discharged to the coastal ocean (see http://woodshole.er.usgs.gov/project-pages/bostonharbor/).
