Title: Geochemistry and microbiology data collected from bottle casts from the R/V HERMANO GINES from the continental shelf of Venezuela in support of the project: Carbon Retention in a Colored Ocean (CARIACO) from (NODC Accession 0066503)
Abstract: This accession contains bottle data collected aboard the R/V HERMANO GINES from the continental shelf of Venezuela during 19 January, 2009 (CAR-153) and from 16 May to 17 May, 2009 (CAR157). Data were collected by the State University of New York, Stony Brook, in support of the Carbon Retention in a Colored Ocean (CARIACO) project. Bottle parameters include hydrogen sulfide, methane, sulfite, thiosulfate, elemental sulfer, total bacterial cell counts and bacterial productivity.
