Title: Significant habitats and habitat complexes of the New York Bight watershed (NODC Accession 0071981)
Abstract: This report focuses on the identification and description of essential habitats of key species inhabiting the New York Bight watershed study area. The study area includes the watersheds and water bodies of eastern New Jersey, the Hudson River north to Troy, and southern Long Island. The mapped areas are divided into a series of 35 significant habitat complexes (34 as polygon data, one as point data), each stored as a separate GIS data layer. This metadata document serves all 35 individual data pieces. These data were designed to be used at a scale of 1:100,000 although many of the original map materials were of a higher resolution.
