Setting a carriage-return/line feed charcter or folding the file contents at 80 characters, i.e., an 80 character record length, will wrap each line to display columnar data beginning with a two digit latitude value (e.g., 06N). NOTE** In this Accession, NCEI has archived multiple versions of this accession. The latest version 1.2 has the Data Documentation Form (DDF), map and lonlat files in /about directory. Note: Metadata for this accession were extracted from a legacy database maintained by the U.S. National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC). The design of the database did not exactly reflect the FGDC Content Standard for Digital Geospatial Metadata (CSDGM).
