The Ocean Archive System searches our original datasets as they were submitted to us, not individual points or profiles. If you want to search and retrieve ocean profiles in a common format, or objectively analyzed fields, your better option may be to use one of our project applications. See: Access Data

Title: Delayed XBT data assembled for the Global Temperature-Salinity Profile Programme (GTSPP) and processed 2002-08-05 - 2002-08-11 (NCEI Accession 0000762)
Abstract: Temperature profile data were collected using XBT casts from OLEANDER, TAI HE, SEA-LAND ENTERPRISE, and other platforms in a world wide distribution. Data were collected from 07 November 2001 to 24 July 2002. Data were submitted and collected by Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory (AOML) with support from the NOAA Shipboard Environmental Data Acquisition System Program (SEAS).

Supplementary information: These data are processed and incorporated into the Global Temperature-Salinity Profile Programme (GTSPP) database.

NCEI has determined that the call sign for the platform "OLEANDER" as documented in the data files is incorrect. The data files document the call sign as "PJJU" whilst NCEI has determined the correct call sign is "V7SX3".
