| Title: | WATER DEPTH and Other Data from FIXED PLATFORM and Other Platforms From TOGA Area - Atlantic from 19790116 to 19850101 (Accession No. - 8700213) |
| Abstract: | This accession number represents data from four originator tapes of Seasonal Response of the Equatorial Atlantic (SEQUAL) data prepared by NODC. Current moorings, in situ wind recorders, inverted echo sounders and near surface drifters were deployed along the Equatorial Atlantic ocean from January 1980 to October 1985 by various American investigators. All of these data have been archived. The following is a brief description of the files and their contents. Dr. Richardson was the Principal Investigator for data archived in SEQUAL-1: files containing current meter (current components, temperature) data. These are available in F015 format TT9318-TT9328. The drifting buoy were used to collect data on temperature, wind speed, position archived as TT9368-TT9398. Data from Dr. Perkins is archived as TT8190 it contians CTD (temperature and salinity vs. depth) measurements. |
