The Ocean Archive System searches our original datasets as they were submitted to us, not individual points or profiles. If you want to search and retrieve ocean profiles in a common format, or objectively analyzed fields, your better option may be to use one of our project applications. See: Access Data

| Title: | Turbidity, SOLAR RADIATION - ATMOSPHERIC and other data from CAPE FLORIDA and BLUE FIN in the North American Coastline-South from 1985-03-28 to 1985-05-22 (NODC Accession 8900150) |
| Abstract: | These data are the results of the Spring Removal Experiment (SPREX) collected from March 28, 1985 to May 22, 1985. Data consists of high resolution CTD data, in shallow waters off coastal Georgia, with rosette bottle (Niskin) collections at top and bottom. Samples were analyzed for PO4, NO2, NO3, SI, Chl-A and phaeopigments. The CTD data were extracted and processed into F-022 format (files nos. TV2989-TV2992). The data were submitted by Dr. Larry P. Atkinson and Skidaway Institute of Oceanography, Savannah GA. |

| Supplementary information: | Note: Metadata for this accession were extracted from a legacy database maintained by the U.S. National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC). The design of the database did not exactly reflect the FGDC Content Standard for Digital Geospatial Metadata (CSDGM). Principal Investigator (PI) and organization contact information accurately represents all available information from the legacy database at the time that this description was created. However, proper attribution of a PI to a specific institution or the role (submitting or collecting) taken by an institution may not be correct due to inexact mapping between fields in the legacy database and the CSDGM. Due to this uncertainty, the contact information was initially recorded in the Supplemental Information element of the CSDGM description. To develop more accurate metadata, the NODC reviews metadata for all accessions on an ongoing basis. Points of contact for this data set include: Contact info: Agency: SKIDAWAY INSTITUTE OF OCEANOGRAPHY PI: Atkinson, Dr. Larry Address: address: 10 OCEAN SCIENCE CIRCLE city: SAVANNAH state: GA postal: 31411 country: UNITED STATES In this accession, NCEI has archived multiple versions of these data. The latest (and best) version of these data has the largest version number. |
