| Abstract: | This dataset includes navigational, physical and underway data collected aboard the R/V Roger Revelle during cruise RR1002 in the South Pacific Ocean and Tasman Sea from 2010-01-26 to 2010-02-18. These data include CURRENT SPEED - EAST/WEST COMPONENT (U), CURRENT SPEED - NORTH/SOUTH COMPONENT (V), LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, course over ground and speed over ground. The instruments used to collect these data include ADCP and GPS. These data were collected by Bradford Hager of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and by University of California - San Diego; Scripps Institution of Oceanography as part of Marine Observations of Anisotropy (MOANA): Constraining Mantle Rheology, Mantle Flow, and Crust/Mantle Coupling Beneath New Zealand. The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) submitted these data to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program. A suite of navigation products produced by the Rolling Deck to Repository program is included in this accession, which include one high resolution, one 1 minute resolution, and one low resolution coordinate file. The ADCP data represent the raw data set. Post processed quality assessed data are not available in this accession. |
