The Ocean Archive System searches our original datasets as they were submitted to us, not individual points or profiles. If you want to search and retrieve ocean profiles in a common format, or objectively analyzed fields, your better option may be to use one of our project applications. See: Access Data

| Title: | Cloud amount/frequency, NITRATE and other data from XIANG YANG HONG 14 in the TOGA Area - Pacific from 1989-10-16 to 1990-07-07 (NCEI Accession 9100110) |
| Abstract: | The Conductivity, Temperature and Depth (CTD) and other data were collected from 163 stations as part of US/Peoples Republic of China (PRC) cooperative cruises from TOGA Area-Pacific (30 N to 30 S) using Ship XIANG YANG HONG 14. The data was collected over a period spanning from October 16, 1989 to July 7, 1990. Data was submitted by Lt. Brian Lake, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Woods Hole, MA. Data has been processed and is available in F022-CTD-Hi Resolution file format of NODC. |

| Supplementary information: | Note: Metadata for this accession were extracted from a legacy database maintained by the U.S. National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC). The design of the database did not exactly reflect the FGDC Content Standard for Digital Geospatial Metadata (CSDGM). Principal Investigator (PI) and organization contact information accurately represents all available information from the legacy database at the time that this description was created. However, proper attribution of a PI to a specific institution or the role (submitting or collecting) taken by an institution may not be correct due to inexact mapping between fields in the legacy database and the CSDGM. Due to this uncertainty, the contact information was initially recorded in the Supplemental Information element of the CSDGM description. To develop more accurate metadata, NCEI reviews metadata for all accessions on an ongoing basis. Points of contact for this data set include: Contact info: Agency: WOODS HOLE OCEANOGRAPHIC INSTITUTE PI: Lake, Lt. Brian Address: address: NOT AVAILABLE city: WOODS HOLE state: MA postal: 02543 country: UNITED STATES In this accession, NCEI has archived multiple versions of these data. The latest (and best) version of these data has the largest version number. |
