The Ocean Archive System searches our original datasets as they were submitted to us, not individual points or profiles. If you want to search and retrieve ocean profiles in a common format, or objectively analyzed fields, your better option may be to use one of our project applications. See: Access Data

Title: Delayed XBT data assembled for the Global Temperature-Salinity Profile Programme (GTSPP) and processed 1996-05-20 to 1996-05-26 (NCEI Accession 9500126)
Abstract: This dataset contains 30 files of data collected as part of Shipboard Environmental data Acquisition System (SEAS) III program. The cruises were conducted using 22 different ships. The bathythermograph (XBT) data was collected between January 8, 1994 and April 21, 1995. The data was sent from the cruise ships to the National Ocean Service, Rockville, MD via telecommunication.

Supplementary information: These data are processed and incorporated into the Global Temperature-Salinity Profile Programme (GTSPP) database.

NCEI has determined that the call sign for the platform "OLEANDER" as documented in the data files is incorrect. The data files document the call sign as "PJJU" whilst NCEI has determined the correct call sign is "V7SX3".
