Abstract: Current direction/velocity, water temperature, air temperature, salinity, and other data were collected using current meter, CTD casts, and other instruments from R/V GYRE, ERICA TIDE, SEIS SURVEYOR, AND UNIVERSAL SURVEYOR in the Mississippi River and Gulf of Mexico. Data were collected from April 19, 1992 to December 6, 1994. Data were submitted by the University of Texas A&M as part of the Louisiana-Texas Shelf Physical Oceanography Program (LATEX) project. The LATEX project was sponsored by the Minerals Management Service (MMS) of the U.S. Department of the Interior.
