The Ocean Archive System searches our original datasets as they were submitted to us, not individual points or profiles. If you want to search and retrieve ocean profiles in a common format, or objectively analyzed fields, your better option may be to use one of our project applications. See: Access Data

Comments: | The CDMP is a partnership between NCDC and private industry to image and key paper and microfilm records and to make them available on the Web to members of the climate and environmental research community.
Currently there are over 50 million images available through the contractor developed WSSRD (Web Search Store Retrieve Display) software. Access to this web-based software is available to U.S. government employees and their contractors, educational institutions doing environmental research, and other researchers associated with NOAA projects. NCDC also provides funding under CDMP for other NOAA agencies with a need to place images online and/or digitize data. At the National Oceanographic Data Center, both the Data Processing Division and the NOAA Library have received funding for digitization and data preservation projects from the CDMP (CDMP Task Number L-24). For more information on the CDMP, see the web link at: www.ncdc.noaa.gov/oa/climate/cdmp/cdmp.html (November, 2007). |
