The Ocean Archive System searches our original datasets as they were submitted to us, not individual points or profiles. If you want to search and retrieve ocean profiles in a common format, or objectively analyzed fields, your better option may be to use one of our project applications. See: Access Data

| Comments: | The SO extends over a vast area far away from the other continents and most of the research facilities. Extreme weather conditions and significant sea-ice coverage prevail there most of the year. At present, the SO remains very under-explored, and the scarcity of oceanographic data limits our ability to understand key climatic-relevant processes and document ongoing changes. Key variables: O2, NO3, Chla, Suspended particles, Downwelling irradiance. Started in: Nov. 2014 Area of interest: Southern Ocean Additional Funding Organizations: UPMC (University Pierre and Marie Curie, France) BNP Paribas Foundation For more information about SOCLIM go to: soclim.com http://biogeochemical-argo.org/key-areas-projects-soclim.php |
