Title: | Delayed XBT data assembled for the Global Temperature-Salinity Profile Programme (GTSPP) and processed 2003-07-07 - 2003-07-13 (NCEI Accession 0001092) |
Abstract: | Temperature data were collected using bucket, surface seawater intake, and XBT casts from several vessels in the North/South Atlantic Ocean, Philippine Sea, and North/South Pacific Ocean from 02 February 2003 to 16 June 2003. Data were submitted by the Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory in Miami, Florida as part of the Gulf of Mexico NOAA/NMFS Ship of Opportunity (SOOP) project. |

Supplementary information: | These data are processed and incorporated into the Global Temperature-Salinity Profile Programme (GTSPP) database. NCEI has determined that the name of the platform "HORIZON PACIFIC" as documented in the data files is incorrect. The data files document the platform name as "HORIZON PACIFIC" whilst NCEI has determined the correct platform name is "SEA-LAND PACIFIC". |
