| Abstract: | This dataset contains real-time underway physical and meteorological data logged by the Scientific Computer System (SCS) aboard NOAA Ship David Starr Jordan in the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary, Northeast Pacific Ocean (limit-180), Gulf of the Farallones National Marine Sanctuary, Cordell Bank National Marine Sanctuary, Coastal Waters of Western U.S., Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary, and North Pacific Ocean from 2005-01-19 to 2005-07-24. Office of Marine and Aviation Operations (OMAO) personnel aboard the ship submitted these data and associated metadata to the National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC). As part of the NOAA Shipboard Sensor Data Acquisition (NSSDAC) project, OMAO submits a standard suite of underway oceanographic and meteorological data collected during each cruise of a NOAA ship with SCS. |
