The Ocean Archive System searches our original datasets as they were submitted to us, not individual points or profiles. If you want to search and retrieve ocean profiles in a common format, or objectively analyzed fields, your better option may be to use one of our project applications. See: Access Data

Title: Full resolution physical trajectory profile data from glider ce_319 deployed by Oregon State University (OSU) in the Northeast Pacific from 2019-01-25 to 2019-04-21 (NCEI Accession 0242867)
Abstract: This dataset includes full resolution physical trajectory profile data from glider ce_319 deployed by Oregon State University (OSU) in the Northeast Pacific from 2019-01-25 to 2019-04-21 for the Ocean Observatories Initiative (OOI) and Ocean Observatories Initiative (OOI) Coastal Endurance Array project.

The National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) received the data in this dataset from the Integrated Ocean Observing System (IOOS) National Glider Data Assembly Center (NGDAC). The IOOS NGDAC received the data in one or more netCDF files comprising an entire glider deployment. The data are measurements of physical oceanographic properties such as temperature, salinity, conductivity, and density. The IOOS NGDAC checked the files for compliance to their netCDF file convention, aggregated the files into a single netCDF file, and then submitted the file to NCEI for long-term preservation. Data files may be either low resolution real-time or full resolution. Full resolution files are designated as "delayed" in the netCDF file name.

The data producer provided this summary: The Endurance Array is a multi-scaled array utilizing fixed and mobile assets to observe cross-shelf and along-shelf variability in the coastal upwelling region off the Oregon and Washington coasts. The array also provides an extensive spatial footprint that encompasses a prototypical eastern boundary current regime and connectivity with the Cabled Array. OOI Coastal Glider deployments bridge the distances between the fixed sites of the Coastal Endurance Array and allow for adaptive sampling of the coastal waters of Washington and Oregon. This dataset contains raw Slocum glider data parsed directly from the native glider file format. No corrections or other quality control algorithms have been applied.
