| Abstract: |
This study estimated the concentration of microplastics (i.e. plastics measuring less than 5mm, reported in units of counts per individual) in mussels and clams from across the San Francisco Bay, California, during 2018-07-17 to 2018-11-02. Characteristics of microplastics found in the organisms, including shape, color, length, width and polymer types (confirmed by Raman spectroscopy), are reported. This dataset contains the results from all 50 confirmed microplastic particles, in a spreadsheet format. |
