The Ocean Archive System searches our original datasets as they were submitted to us, not individual points or profiles. If you want to search and retrieve ocean profiles in a common format, or objectively analyzed fields, your better option may be to use one of our project applications. See: Access Data

| Title: | Hydrographic Data from the Second Coastal Ocean Dynamics Experiment: R/V Wecoma, Legs 3 -5 17 March - 4 April 1982 (NCEI Accession 8400008) |
| Abstract: | CTD observations were made in the CODE region between Pt. Arena (39 N) and Pt. Reyes (38 N) during 17 March - 4 April 1982. The observations were along three sections: Code Central, Code - 2 Central, and Irish Gulch Lines; and alongside seven current meter moorings. Maximum sampling depth was 500 m. This report includes vertical sections and offshore profiles to summarize the data, and vertical profile plots and standard depth listing for each of the 81 stations. Data has been processed by NODC to the NODC standard High-Resolution CTD/STD (F022) format. The F022 format contains high-resolution data collected using CTD (conductivity-temperature-depth) and STD (salinity-temperature-depth) instruments. As they are lowered and raised in the oceans, these electronic devices provide nearly continuous profiles of temperature, salinity, and other parameters. Data values may be subject to averaging or filtering or obtained by interpolation and may be reported at depth intervals as fine as 1m. Cruise and instrument information, position, date, time and sampling interval are reported for each station. Environmental data at the time of the cast (meteorological and sea surface conditions) may also be reported. The data record comprises values of temperature, salinity or conductivity, density (computed sigma-t), and possibly dissolved oxygen or transmissivity at specified depth or pressure levels. Data may be reported at either equally or unequally spaced depth or pressure intervals. A text record is available for comments. |
