| Abstract: | This dataset contains drifting buoy data collected from 1987-03-06 to 1987-03-30 from buoys deployed by National Data Buoy Center, Stennis Space Center, Mississippi. Air temperature, barometric pressure, sea surface temperature, water depth and wind speed data were collected in the Coral Sea, Gulf of Mexico, Indian Ocean, Mozambique Channel, South Atlantic Ocean, South Pacific Ocean, Southern Oceans (> 60 degrees South), Tasman Sea and Timor Sea as part of Tropical Ocean Global Atmosphere (TOGA) project. The data were processed by NODC and are currently available in NODC F156 Drifting Buoy Data file format. |
