| Abstract: | This dataset includes navigational, optical, and other data collected aboard the R/V Roger Revelle during cruise RR0911 in the East China Sea (Tung Hai) and Philippine Sea from 2009-09-12 to 2009-09-16. These data include CONDUCTIVITY, CURRENT SPEED - EAST/WEST COMPONENT (U), CURRENT SPEED - NORTH/SOUTH COMPONENT (V), DEPTH - BOTTOM, DEPTH - OBSERVATION, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, SALINITY, WATER TEMPERATURE, course over ground, speed over ground, and surface irradiance. The instruments used to collect these data include ADCP, CTD, GPS, PAR Sensor, and echo sounder. These data were collected by Ren-Chieh Lien of University of Washington; Applied Physics Laboratory, and by University of California - San Diego; Scripps Institution of Oceanography as part of Quantifying, Predicting, and Exploiting (QPE) Uncertainty. The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) submitted these data to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program. A suite of navigation products produced by the Rolling Deck to Repository program is included in this accession, which include one high resolution, one 1 minute resolution, and one low resolution coordinate file. R2R provides a processed version of the CTD data. The ADCP data represent the raw dataset. Post processed quality assessed data are not available in this accession. |
